Edinburgh Parks Bioenergy Facility
In partnership with CleanPeak Energy, Delorean Energy is in the advanced stages of development of the Edinburgh Parks Bioenergy Facility located in the Edinburgh Parks commercial food park precinct in the metropolitan area north of Adelaide in South Australia.
- The plant will be the biggest of its kind in the southern hemisphere, taking 125,000 tonne per annum of food waste and agricultural by-products and producing the equivalent of 8MW of renewable electricity and gas.
- The energy will supply the electricity grid and mains gas network, but can also be used to supply power and heat to the Edinburgh Parks commercial estate tenants.
- The project is planned to be operational by September 2021.
- Opportunities will exist for ‘closed loop’ reciprocal waste supply/electricity offtake arrangements within the food park and through the electricity grid.
Delorean Energy is working with Adelaide's food production and processing industry, waste management and municipal waste sector for the sourcing of feedstocks for conversion to renewable electricity, gas and heat. We welcome enquiries from prospective partners for sourcing of feedstocks and off take of energy.
